Don’t just look for “test-optional” on a university homepage.
Dig into the international admissions section. If they say test-optional only applies to U.S. citizens, move on.
(Pro tip: Use Ctrl + F and search for “SAT” on the page. Saves time.)
2️⃣ Alternatives
Each school has different expectations. Some accept:
- Duolingo English Test (often 95+)
- GPA and school records
- Personal statement or essay
- Admissions interviews
So no SAT? Cool. But you better bring something else to the table.
3️⃣ Ask Directly
Email them. I’m serious. Like this:
“Hi, I’m an international student from [Country]. I saw your test-optional policy. Just wanted to confirm if that includes international applicants for Fall 2025. Thanks!”

⚠ Raza Got Rejected (Here’s Why)
Okay, here’s the part I promised.
